Nancy Bistritz, Public Relations


Nancy Bistritz

Nancy Bistritz has more than 17 years of diverse communications experience, and brings with her proven experience in the following areas: influencer relations (including media, industry analysts, and bloggers); corporate and agency public relations planning (both strategic and tactical); and editorial leadership (advanced writing and editing skills). She is a former editor-in-chief and has extensive experience in the telecommunications, financial services, and commercial real estate industries.
In her most recent role as senior director (United States) at Nurun (a global digital marketing agency), Nancy was responsible for managing the company’s marketing, communications, and business developments efforts in the United States. A part of the leadership team in Atlanta, she worked on international activities related to Nurun’s internal and external communications; public relations outreach, including media relations and executive visibility; and marketing and business development strategies. She was also an integral part of Nurun’s worldwide communications team, and worked closely with all members of the international executive team, including chief strategy officer and chief executive officer.
Prior to her role at Nurun, Nancy was a senior account executive with Calysto Communications, where she spearheaded public relations initiatives for a number of telecommunications organizations, including: Tellabs, BroadSoft, and CBeyond. Her strengths included media relations, industry analyst relations, writing, and strategic communications planning. She is a former editor-in-chief for Atlanta-based Catalyst Magazine; was the interim founding editor-in-chief for Atlanta Woman Magazine; and is a previous managing editor for National Real Estate Investor Magazine.
In 1996, Nancy worked for Pringle Dixon Pringle public relations and advertising agency, where she supported Xerox Corp., specifically with its 100 Golden Olympians initiative prior to and during the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Nancy is a former board member for Atlanta Woman in Communications; is a previous board member for the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association (AiMA); and is an active volunteer for the Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter. Currently, she is a board member of TAG (Technology Association of Georgia) Marketing; the Atlanta Chapter of the Business Marketing Association; and an Advisory Board member of the Alliance Theatre. She is a former panelist for the Public Relations Society of America (where she spoke about creating the perfect online pressroom), and was a featured speaker at the 2012 SoCon event at Kennesaw State University, where she led a discussion on which corporate department “owns” social media.
A 1994 graduate of Auburn University, Nancy received a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and is the 1993 recipient of the Lynn Hopkins Scholarship for Journalism Dedication.
